Anand Kumar Ram

Anand is a 13 years old son with limb length discrepancy(right lower limb) and he stays with his father Goutam Kumar Ram , & mother Manju Devi and his youngest sister. His family background is very poor , they stay in 1 room which is rented, his father works so hard because he wants his children to study well in school. At the age of 3 years Anand parents noticed about his limb length and took him to one government hospital where the doctors said they cannot do anything if they will do the surgery then it has risk.

Parents were confused from doctor commitment and they didn’t do anything because they were scared. In the month of December 2018 we found him in a door to door survey and explained about GRIRR. He had Tendon Achilles contracture on his Rt. Lower Limb. They started to visit our center and do regular physiotherapy at the center as well as at home.

In the month of December 2018 itself we had an orthopaedic screening camp organised by Endolite supported by ISHWAR ( International Society for Human Welfare And Rehabilitation), Delhi . And the team of the camp decided to do a Small surgery to correct her deformity.

2nd January 2019 Anand got Operated by ISHWAR team, and provided with Rt. KAFO from endolite. Now his limb
length is quite better and he is under physiotherapy and being followed up.

His father is very happy after seeing his condition, and he said “I will pass the information about GRIRR in my
community and will also help the GRIRR team to do a door to door survey”.
